Can you really get a free certification voucher?
Short answer: yes for some entry-level certifications, no for recognised ones such as CEH, CISSP or OSCP+. No vendor hands out free vouchers for those exams to the general public. If someone offers you one on Instagram, Facebook or Telegram, it is almost always a scam.
There are, however, real ways to pay less: discounts granted by vendors at the end of certain courses, student pricing, one-off campaigns, financial aid on learning platforms and, often the most solid option, funding from your employer. This guide separates what actually exists in 2026 from what is just rumour.
A quick definition first: a voucher is a prepaid code used to book an exam with the vendor or with Pearson VUE. It has an expiry date, is often restricted to a region, and can only be used once.
Which official programs lower the price of an exam?
These are the schemes we could verify on vendor websites or their official programs. Terms change often, so treat this as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
- Cisco Networking Academy (netacad.com): learners who complete an eligible course (for example the CCNA path or CyberOps Associate) with at least 70% on the first attempt of the final exam can request a discount on the matching Cisco certification exam from their NetAcad profile. The exact amount is shown in the profile and the discount is valid for a limited time.
- CompTIA: the official store offers academic pricing to students whose status is verified online (through SheerID). Eligibility depends on country and institution, so check at checkout whether your university is recognised. CompTIA also sells voucher + study material bundles that cost less than buying each item separately.
- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC): the One Million Certified in Cybersecurity program, which offered free training and a free exam, closed to new enrolments on 20 May 2026. Codes already issued and not expired must be used by 31 December 2026. Outside the program, the exam is listed at USD 199, plus a USD 50 annual maintenance fee (AMF) once you pass.
- Microsoft: Microsoft regularly runs events (Virtual Training Days, Microsoft Learn challenges) that have offered free or discounted vouchers, for example for SC-900. These campaigns are occasional: only rely on them when they appear on an official Microsoft page.
- Google Cybersecurity Certificate: the course is hosted on Coursera, which offers financial aid on application. It is not an exam voucher, but it can make the certificate free for you.
Why is there no free voucher for CEH, CISSP or OSCP+?
These certifications are premium products whose value rests precisely on their cost and difficulty. EC-Council, ISC2 and OffSec do not run free voucher campaigns for these exams. The only legitimate price cuts come from promotions shown on their own websites, negotiated corporate pricing, or official training that includes the voucher.
So be wary of any "CEH for 50 dollars" or "free CISSP, no training needed" offer. At best it is a used or expired code; at worst it is fraud that can get your result cancelled.

Can your employer pay for your exam in Morocco?
For a certification costing more than 10,000 MAD, this is often the most realistic route. Many Moroccan companies, especially in banking, telecoms, offshoring and IT services, have an annual training budget. A well-argued request that links the certification to a concrete need (compliance, audit, upskilling the SOC) has a good chance of being approved.
For companies that pay the vocational training tax, mechanisms for partial reimbursement of training exist through the special training contracts (CSF) managed with OFPPT. Eligibility rules, caps and filing deadlines change, so your HR department or OFPPT is the source to check before committing the expense.
- Submit a detailed quote (training, voucher, dates) rather than just a link.
- Explain what the company gains: compliance, less reliance on contractors, credibility with clients.
- Offer to share what you learn with the team after the course.
What discounts does GATech offer on its certification courses?
At GATech, the official exam voucher is included in the course price: you do not need to look for one elsewhere or take a chance on an unknown reseller. For example, CompTIA Security+ and Cisco CCNA courses start at 10,900 MAD and the CEH v13 course at 21,900 MAD, voucher included.
Several public discounts then apply. They cannot be combined and are detailed on the quote.
- Students and recent graduates: 15% off with a valid student card or a diploma less than 12 months old.
- Early bird: 10% off when you register and pay at least 4 weeks before the session.
- Group rate: 15% off from 3 participants from the same company in the same session.
- Pay in 3 interest-free instalments for individuals, with the voucher issued after the 2nd instalment.
Voucher scams: how do you spot them?
Fake voucher sales are spreading on social media, Telegram and WhatsApp groups, and even on some marketplaces. The script is nearly always the same: a price far below the official rate, payment by bank transfer, mobile money or crypto, then a code that does not work, or works but was bought with a stolen card and will be revoked.
- Too cheap: a voucher sold for less than half the public price, with no official explanation, is a red flag.
- Used or expired code: impossible to check before paying, and no recourse afterwards.
- Regional code: some vouchers are only valid in one country or region and are rejected when used from Morocco.
- Anonymous seller: no company, no invoice, contact only through messaging apps.
- "Dumps" or "real questions guaranteed": this is cheating. Vendors can cancel results, revoke certifications and ban candidates from their exams.
Where can you buy a voucher safely?
The rule is simple: buy directly from the vendor (CompTIA, Cisco, ISC2, EC-Council or OffSec stores), from Pearson VUE when it delivers the exam, or from a training provider that gives you an invoice and lists the voucher on the quote. Always ask for written proof of what is included and the code's expiry date.
Before paying, also check on the vendor's website that the exam you are targeting is the current version. Buying a voucher for a retired version is a common and costly mistake.
Finally, keep a record of everything: invoice, confirmation email, voucher number and a screenshot of the booking page. If something goes wrong on exam day, these are the first documents the vendor's or Pearson VUE's support team will ask for.
What strategy keeps the cost as low as possible?
If you are starting out, begin with free learning paths (Cisco Networking Academy, Microsoft Learn content, Coursera financial aid) and use the official discounts they unlock. For a recognised certification such as Security+, CCNA or CEH, compare the real cost of preparing alone with a course that includes the voucher: a failed attempt and a second voucher often cost more than the support.
Finally, the programs and discounts described here change regularly: always check each vendor's official page before you enrol or pay.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free CompTIA voucher?
Not for the general public. CompTIA does offer academic pricing to verified students, depending on country and institution, plus voucher + study material bundles that cost less than buying separately.
How do I get a discount on a Cisco voucher?
By completing an eligible course on Cisco Networking Academy (for example the CCNA path or CyberOps Associate) with at least 70% on the first attempt of the final exam. You then request the discount from your NetAcad profile; it is valid for a limited time.
Is the free ISC2 CC program still open?
No. ISC2 closed new enrolments in the One Million Certified in Cybersecurity program on 20 May 2026. Codes already issued and not expired must be used by 31 December 2026.
Can a voucher bought on Telegram work?
Sometimes, but it is a risky bet: codes may be used, expired, region-locked or bought fraudulently and revoked. Only buy from the vendor, Pearson VUE or a partner who gives you an invoice.
Is the voucher included in GATech courses?
Yes, the official exam voucher is included in the price of our certification courses. Student, early-bird and group discounts then apply, but cannot be combined.
