Overview

The PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor course prepares you to lead information security management system (ISMS) audits: internal audits, supplier (second-party) audits and certification (third-party) audits. You learn to apply the principles of ISO 19011 and the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1: audit programme, opening meeting, evidence gathering, sampling, writing findings and nonconformities, reporting and corrective action follow-up.

In Morocco, demand for qualified ISO 27001 auditors is growing with Law 05-20 on cybersecurity and the DGSSI's DNSSI, which require public bodies and critical infrastructure operators to demonstrate the level of their security measures. Banks and insurers supervised by Bank Al-Maghrib and ACAPS, and offshoring centers that must reassure European clients, regularly audit their ISMS and their suppliers. Knowing how to audit with method also helps you prepare your own organization for external audits.

Over 5 days (35 hours), the course combines lectures, audit role-plays, case study exercises and exam preparation. The PECB exam is included in the price and can be taken at the end of the session or online at a later date.
