Overview

The PECB ISO/IEC 27005 Risk Manager course gives you a complete method for managing information security risks: establishing the context, identifying risks using event-based or asset-based approaches, estimating likelihood and consequences, evaluation, treatment, acceptance, communication and monitoring. It is based on the 2022 edition of ISO/IEC 27005, aligned with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 31000.

In Morocco, risk assessment sits at the heart of the DGSSI's DNSSI and Law 05-20 on cybersecurity, as well as Bank Al-Maghrib's expectations on operational and IT risk. It is also the foundation of an ISO 27001 ISMS and of the justification for personal data safeguards required by Law 09-08 and the CNDP. A shared method helps you prioritize security investments and report on them to management.

Over 3 days (21 hours), the course mixes theory, practical exercises on a case study and exam preparation. The PECB exam is included in the price and can be taken at the end of the session or online at a later date. PECB also offers a 5-day Lead Risk Manager track for those who want to go further.
